The NA850 is a 2U rackmountable network security hardware
platform. It has built-in dual Socket-R3 Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3
family (codename Haswell-EP) with Intel® C610 chipset. It supports
16 slots of DDR4 RDIMM/UDIMM and ECC memory up to 128 GB. The
NA850 can be fitted with up to 5 Ethernet modules, total up to 42 PCIe
Generation 3.0 GbE LAN ports. Two hot swappable 3.5” HDD bays
with SATA or SAS interface are available, and two PCIe x16 standard
expansion slots are for optional network security cards. The NA850
also supports the Intel® DPDK, a set of software libraries that can
improve packet processing performance by up to ten times. It could
achieve over 80 Mpps throughput on a single Intel® Xeon® processor
and double with a dual-processor configuration.
